  • When players or someone you know around, do something big and extraordinary, you also get attracted to that field. When Manjeet Chhillar, Rakesh Kumar and Mohit Chhillar made their name in the field of Kabaddi, Rohit Kumar's heart and mind both attracted towards the sport.
  • He performed and had some games at States and national level competitions, which earned him a job in Naval forces based on sports quota.
  • But joining the job became a nightmare for him, then the Services Sports Board did not allow him to play in any kind of league. He also did not has any choice except to wait for the confirmation.
  • He waited till the two seasons, and finally, the wait came to an end. He was raring to go into the third season of the most famous league in the world in the field of Kabaddi.
  • Yes, he made his debut in Pro Kabaddi League season 3 in January 2016. He played from the Patna Pirates. And believe us guys, he was hungry. The hunger of thelast two seasons can be seen from his performance, his raids, his flexibility and his signature move, the frog jump.
  • He, along with Pardeep Narwal, helped Patna Pirates lifting the title of Pro Kabaddi League, their first title. Rohit Kumar was honoured with The Most Valuable Player Of The Season award.
  • The dream season he wanted to have, and his career was on a high note. But But unfortunately, the controversy of suicidal death of his wife, Lalita Kumar pushed him down. He was arrested, later came out on a bail.
  • Time passed, and in season 4, Bengaluru Bulls bought Rohit Kumar to bring some strength in their attacking side. He performed well, scoring 93 raid points in 14 matches but they did not qualify for the knockout stages.
  • In season 5, Rohit Kumar's continuous performance on the mat earned him the deal of 81 Lakh INR in Bengaluru Bulls. This season was his most successful season till today.
  • He scored 32 raid points in a single match and became the first player to score 30+ points in a match of the PKL. Rohit Kumar scored a total of 231 points in just 22 matches which were the second-highest of the season.
  • But yet again, Bengaluru Bulls missed knockouts just by three points.
  • Later in the season 6, because of Rohit Kumar's ability to perform under pressure, and remain clam made him the popular choice of Captain of the team because Bengaluru Bulls was not doing well from past two seasons of Pro Kabaddi League.
  • And that only happed, He was selected as the Captain of the team, scored 162 raid points and 171 total points in 24 matches. Most importantly, his captaincy skills and mind-blowing super raids and super 10s from Pawan Kumar Sehrawat led Bengaluru Bulls to their median title of the league.
  • After knocking out Sachin Tanwar and beating Gujarat Fortunegaints in the qualifier 1 by 41-29, when both the teams again met in the final of the Pro Kabaddi League 2018, Bengaluru came out as the winner and the ultimate champion of the season 6 of PKL.
  • Rohit Kumar just took four seasons of the league to come into the list of top five raiders (at the fifth place) of all time.
  • Rohit Kumar Chillar was also part of Indian Kabaddi Team participated in 2016 Asian Kabaddi Championship and Kabaddi Masters 2018 held in Dubai. On both occasions, he contributed to the team winning gold medals at international stages.
